Kisna Comes To The Rescue!
Subhash Ghai's Kisna had its world premiere at the 3rd Pune International Film Festival which was followed by its first London showing the next day. As Subhash had earlier promised to chief minister, Vilasrao Deshmukh, both the premieres were held as fund raising events which managed to accumulate a whopping sum of one crore plus rupees. Also, the auction of the sword and the flute used by the poet-fighter contributed to 10,300 to the Prime Minister's relief fund for tsunami victims. Thumbs up to the showman! Let's keep the spirit alive!
