M bole toh, Malaika!
Malaika Arora Khan looks sexy as ever, even post-motherhood. And her fitness mantra is "working out religiously, as advised by my doctor and eating right." Malaika, however, has "always been a regular at the gym because it makes me feel healthy and good. I take pride in the beauty of women and have it when women tell me that they don't have time for them selves! All it takes is an hour every day to take care of yourself!"
Meanwhile, life has not changed much for Malaika, even after the birth of her son because" of the great infrastructure of our home," she says. "We have a nuclear family, me, Arbaaz and our son, which is like any other working family. Arbaaz is a friend to me and a great father to our son. And my mom gives a lot of her time to my son when I am away!"
Malaika has got bact to work in full throttle and is branching out on television. Already a VJ, Malaika says she "doesn't look down upon TV because the medium is the same as films. I want to balance them out both." And her forthcoming shows on the telly include a "reality hunt. It would be great to gauge the aspirations of thousands of youngsters trying to make it big in Bollywood."
Films, however, are not on her agenda right now. "If a nice film comes my way, I will consider it but there was and has never been and urgency to be an actress." However, she's open to item numbers because "I love dancing and will continue doing them!" She's doing one for a forthcoming film about which she refuses to talk. "Since it's for a filmmaker friend," she says.
She has no hassles in being called the 'original item girl' either! And what about the sex symbol tag attached to her? "Oh! I don't spend sleepless nights over it! Tags Keep changing and I am comfortable with the one given to me!" Meanwhile stage-shows are Keeping her busy too "since I enjoy performing and feel in-complete without it."
And lastly, what friendly piece of advise does she give to her younger sister Amrita Arora? "Since we are very close to each other and Amrita looks up to me. I tell her what I feel is right and wrong for her!"
