So what gives... Playing 'Bad Girl' in Fida must have come easy to you. .
Fida was a challenge. I made bad look good! This year has been especially great with films like Chameli, Yuva, Dev and now Fida. At 23, can an actor ask for more?

Big deal. If some people didn't think I was good enough, too bad for them. The reviews, and the awards were proof enough.
How come it's said that you are ill-mannered and rude?
That's just a perception about me. Those who've worked and interacted with me don't think that way. These days all I read is that I'm a well-behaved girl. Yes, I speak my mind out at all times. Maybe that hurts some people. Ask my directors. Everyone from JP Dutta, Priyadarshan and Abbas Mustaan have repeated me in their films.
Didn't you say you'd rather be a leading heroine in Yash Chopra film than play second lead to Meryl Streep? Wasn't that a dig at Aishwarya Rai?
I never made any dig at Aishwarya Rai. Please! I'd rather take an Indian film to Hollywood like Aamir Khan did with Lagaan. It was a film we could proudly take to the oscars too! He never went running after them. In any case. I don't think Hollywood is impressed by fair skin, light eyes and great hair. Every second girl has it there. Why would they be interested in us? I'm really happy with the way my career's going. Also, I have age on my side.
It's being said that Shahid Kapoor, the new man in your life, has become famous after being linked with you.
That's a dirty, nasty thing to say. Shahid's the most promising new-comer around. He won all the Best Newcomer awards this year. He neither needs my name nor me. Watch, he's here to stay. He was terrific in Fida, no?

And in any case, I do it as clinically as I do a death scene. You can't have emotions when 100 lightmen and unit hands are staring.

Hrithik is far too senior and seasoned. I thought he was Good in Lakshya. Shahid is vibrant and like a breath of fresh air.
You Miss acting with Hrithik?
We started our careers together and we were dynamite on screen. Unfortunately, he's doing just one movie a year. I'm sure we'll work together again soon.
It's rumoured that you recently signed some B grade movie for Rs 2.5 crore? Yes?
I'm not discussing my price with you. Hello, Idon't differentiate between movies. Even Madhuri Dixit was doing an Aarzoo along with a Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Let me say that I've worked with all the A-grade directors in the beginning of my career, but my first real hit was with Satish Kaushik. What Subhash Ghai or JP Dutta didn't do for me, Satish Kaushik did.
